‘Captive consumers’: Alliant Energy customers wary of more rate increases

The Iowa Utilities Board held a public meeting for Alliant Energy customers to voice their opinions on the company’s proposed rate increases for electric and natural gas services.

Dozens of customers from across southeast Iowa attended the meeting at Southeastern Community College in West Burlington, many of whom addressed the board and utility company to speak against the proposal.
